Functional
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Shazzoo offers many features to get your web pages high in the Google rankings (or other search engines).
Every day the daily agent create or updates two important files:
- robots.txt
This file informs search engines which content (web pages and images) to index and which content to skip from the index.
Each individual web page can be included or excluded from the index. There are several properties available. The same goes for image containers. You can exclude a set of images also fron the search engines by setting the applicable properties. - sitemap.xml
This file informs search engines about the relevance, change frequency and last modfied date of individual web pages. All pages that are directly triggered from menu items are included in the sitemap.xml. But you can also force pages to be included in the sitemap.xml by setting the applicable property.
Other SEO features Shazzoo supports are:
- Web page title
- Meta description
- Meta keywords
- Canonical URL
- Automatic prefix and suffix for the identifier of every created page (see settings document).
- Option to exclude all web pages from search engines like Google (see settings document).
- Option to exclude all images from the Google image index (see settings document).
The last but not least SEO feature is the short URL web sites running on Shazzoo have. Search engines like these short URLs very much. Shazzoo runs on Domino, but you never see that reflected in the URL. All URLs have following pattern:
[domain]/[language]/[identifier]
So for example : www.shazzoo.com/en_uk/index
The main SEO settings for web pages are displayed through a dedicated view.
